True boiling (100°C is achieved inside the heating element) instant heating technology delivers purified hot water within seconds. Multiple temperatures available: chilled, ambient, 45°, 55°, 85°, 100°C.
UV-C LED technology in the cold water tank activates every hour, inhibiting bacteria growth in the freshly filtered water by up to 99.9%**.
At the last stage in the purification process, the purified water is remineralised with calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium ions (Ca2+, Mg2+, K+, Na+). This remineralisation process also raises the pH balance of the water to a level that is considered alkaline. Taste is highly subjective, but an alkaline buffer will make the purified water taste less "flat".
Traditional RO processes typically waste a significant amount of water: usually 9 to 12 liters of water are wasted for every 3 liters of purified water produced. This can be an environmental concern, especially in areas with water scarcity.
